Main Responsibilities:

• Reports to Senior Accountant
• Responsible for supervising accounts team (sales reconciliations and general ledger)
• Oversee the day-to-day operations with an internal control strategies
• Provide weekly reporting and analysis on related matters
• Participate in monthly meetings with business units and project co-ordination meetings
• Liaise with external auditors and external parties on overall business related matters
• Prepare and review the monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
• Setting objective for the team that is aligned with accounting standards
• Any other ad hoc responsibilities as and when assigned by superior or management

Qualifications:

• A Degree or equivalent in Accountancy (MIA certification is an added advantage)
• At least 3 years relevant working experience
• Focus, diligent and ability to work independently, manage, guide and lead a team
• A high level of integrity with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and statutory regulations
• Experience in Retail environment will be an advantage
• Experience in SAP is an added advantage
• Familiarity with intermediate advanced formulas in MS Excel
• Ability to meet a very tight deadlines
